New Options for Forest Kindergarten and Preschool Class and Extended days and times for K - 4th beginning fall 2024.

Set up a tour
The Apple Blossom director and the family discuss and make sure our program is a good fit, and that there is room in the age group that you are applying for.
Complete enrollment packet and pay tuition down payment of $100 (non-refundable) by May 1st to hold your spot. This down payment will be applied to your September invoice.
An annual non-refundable supply fee $75 (preschool morning program) or $100 (K - 4th full day programs) is due by July 1st.

This fee helps towards the cost of 2 local field trips per year that may have a cost. This fee also helps us provide high quality art supplies for each child, an integral part of our program. Due by July 1st.
$100 reserves your child’s spot for the 2024-25 school year. This is a deposit and subtracted from your September invoice. This is non-refundable if you decide to drop before September.

(Young 5’s with late spring and summer birthdays - Transitional Kindergarten) Children must be age 5 by Sept 1st.
Morning Program: M - W 9 am - 12:30 $300/month or M - Th 9 am - 12:30 $375/month
Full Day Program: M - W 9 am - 3 pm $375/month or M - Th 9 am - 3 pm $450/month
Stars
(Older 5’s and Young 6 year olds) Stars have turned 5 by June 1st and are turning 6 during the school year or they may begin the year as a young 6 year old with a summer birthday.
Full Day Program: M - W 9 am - 3 pm $375/month or M - Th 9 am - 3 pm $450/month
Blossoms and Stars Combined Class meets September through May at our cozy yurt (Apfelhaus) with a 3 week winter break and 1 week spring break.
*15 min early/30 min late care $5/day M - Th
*Can add 1 - 3 Fridays for $25/Friday (if enough interest)- no Friday class in January.
*Indigenous scholarship may be available.

1- 3 Fridays/month depending on interest (no classes in January) *May meet at Lake Bemidji State Park and/or Apple Blossom - schedule TBA

*Baumhaus includes:

Forest and Farm Friday Program
*Ages 6.5 - 11 years
Forest Friday class meets two Fridays a month at Lake Bemidji State Park and Farm Friday Class meets one Friday a month at Potter Farm in Guthries, MN. For ages 6.5 - 12 years. *6 year olds can start in the Friday Friends program and move to Farm or Forest Friday as they are ready.
Class meets 9:30 am - 2:30 pm September through May with no classes offered in January. One or two Field Trips to other local parks and locations are included in the Forest Friday program.
Forest and Farm Friday Rates:
$35/class drop in or pay up front for all classes offered at a rate of $32/class for the school year.
Apple Blossom enrolled students pay $25/class

Roots and Wings Family Playtime for Parents and Little Ones ages Birth - 5 years

Class meets at Apfelhaus, our cozy Kindergarten yurt from 9:30 - 11 am 4 Fridays in May $48/family/session.

*Please note for all classes offered at Apple Blossom: Classes are held at the yurts year round. We take safety seriously and the yurts are designed for harsh climates that can withstand wind and cold. We use weather apps and our own judgement to assess risk. We have guidelines in our parent handbook regarding weather safety and assessment of risk in the outdoor environment. In an emergency we can use the Rail River Folk School building as a temporary storm shelter. We will follow the school district for starting late or canceling school, and we also reserve the right to make our own decisions based on our unique outdoor program.
*Classes offered offsite at Lake Bemidji State Park or other local parks/field trip locations: we will have a designated building in case of inclement weather. We may cancel class due to weather safety concerns.
*Children must be able to be safe with their bodies and be able to listen to teacher directions in order to attend classes offered by Apple Blossom Village.
Tuition and Fees Information
15% sibling discount for Apfelhaus Mixed-Age Kindergarten and Baumhaus 1st - 4th Grade
3% discount if you pay the entire year up front for Apfelhaus Mixed-Age Kindergarten and Baumhaus 1st - 4th Grade
Partial and Full Scholarships for Indigenous Students may be available if there are funds in the account. Families can fill out an application to request funds to be used towards tuition. The Scholarship fund can only be used for our school year programs at this time.
Barter arrangements for up to $100 off per month for 4 day spots can be applied for if families can commit to helping with fundraising activities and other activities such as going above and beyond the 10 volunteer hours to be a guest teacher one hour per week, volunteer in the preschool morning classroom once a week, help with a building, maintenance, fencing, tree planting, or gardening project, help chop firewood, snow shoveling, roof raking, and snow plowing, get an environmental project going, help with key parts of our curriculum when we need extra help etc. *Barters do not apply to our Friday programs.
Commitment for 1 school year is required with exception for a family emergency or mutual agreement
Holding fee: If your family travels for over 2 weeks and less than 2 months, a small discount on tuition rate can be given during the months of travel. We are not able to hold your spot for more than 3 months. If your vacation is 2 weeks or less, you will be required to pay the normal monthly tuition rate.
10 volunteer hours required for all families per year or make a $100 donation to the scholarship fund and volunteer for only 5 hours.
Other fees:
$25/child non-refundable registration fee, all programs for ages 1 year and up (this is paid once a year per child, if a child is attending more than one program, they only pay this registration fee one time for the year)
$75 non-refundable supply fee, Apfelhaus morning programs
$100 non-refundable supply fee, Apfelhaus and Baumhaus full day programs
We prefer payment for the entire year before the school year begins. We require the payment of the supply fee by July 1st and a down payment/deposit toward tuition of $100 by May 1st (this will be subtracted from your September invoice but is non-refundable if you drop before September). Monthly billing can be set up for 9 month payment plans or 12 month payment plans. Payments are due on the 28th of the previous month if you pay monthly. We use pay pal for invoicing but can make arrangements for venmo, checks, or cash.
