Add Thursdays

Thursday class for ages 6 - 12 years is a perfect compliment to our M - W Grades Class. We take our learning out into the community, guest teachers come to us, or we plan special hands on activities to deepen our learning!

Topics/Schedule

A schedule of topics and locations for Thursdays will be updated as we move through the school year. Forest Adventure Class held at Lake Bemidji State Park, Cultural Traditions Class will be held at the Yurts at Apple Blossom, Walking Field Trips to local downtown destinations, Community Connection Days held in various local offsite locations or at the yurts, January Thursdays at the Yurts!

Homeschoolers Join us

This program is great as a stand alone class for Home School Students in 1st - 6th grade. We may split into 2 classes of younger students and older students depending on the number enrolled and the topic of the day. Our walking field trips will begin or end at Apple Blossom for ease of drop off/pick up. Parents provide transportation to offsite locations or arrange a carpool with other parents.

Time/What to BRing

Thursday class will meet from 9 am - 2:30 pm. Dress for the weather to be outdoors and bring a hiking style backpack, lunch, and water bottle.

* We can accommodate a variety of different learning styles, but we are not equipped to accommodate high behavior needs. Children must be able to be safe with their bodies, appropriate with their language, and listen to teacher directions in order to attend.
