It feels like spring happened all of a sudden up here in the north. We went from snow to rain all in the same month! We have been embracing each month and the activities that come with them. From an Irish themed day camp in March, to our celebration of reptiles and amphibians, to Iskigamizigan traditions (Sugar Bush) in April and dyeing eggs with natural dyes, we are letting wonder lead the way. Songs, poems, stories, and art, round out our academic studies. Experiences such as our joy filled day at Concordia Language Villages Spanish Camp, bring the world to our doorstep. As our poem this month reminds us “Spring is Here!” Happy Spring from Apple Blossom Village.
The Winds told the grasses and the grasses told the trees,
The trees told the bushes and the bushes told the bees,
The bees told the Robin and the Robin sang out clear,
“Wake up, wake up, spring is here!” March/April Newsletter
