Apple Blossom Mindful Parenting Retreats guide you through how to Embrace each season and create nurturing routines and rhythms for children, healthy screen time habits, inspiration for more meaningful outdoor time, and peaceful rituals for calmer mornings, mealtimes, and bedtimes. Retreats include a nature walk, self-care, journal prompts, campfire or woodstove, light lunch/snacks, seasonal crafts and respite just for you!
This is an Adult Retreat, childcare for ages 3 - 10 years is available at an extra cost in the yurt next door. Newborns are welcome to stay with their caregiver for no extra charge, but we do not have care for mobile infants and toddlers available.
Looking for More? Check out our Apple Blossom Family Play Camp! Friday Evening and Saturday at the Yurts August 1st from 6 - 9:30 pm and August 2nd from 9 am - 3 pm, 2025. *10 adults and 10 children Minimum $100/adult for the weekend and $40/child. Kids under age 3 attend for free. 3 meals included
About the venue
Apple Blossom Village is located in the yurts and outdoor space at Rail River Folk School, 303 Railroad Street SW, Bemidji.
Drive through the silver gates and past the beautiful IEN (Indigenous Environmental Network) Garden and the Apple Blossom yurts to park down by the marina.
We have an outdoor porta potty with handwashing or hand sanitizer available. Enjoy a walk through the garden or along the lake. Take a break in our cozy yurt. Dress for the weather and plan to be outside as much as possible with yurts and tents and canopies as rain shelters.

Join us a the Yurts at Apple Blossom Village, Bemidji, to bring back the magic of an unplugged summer! Parents can dive in deeper during Saturday’s hands on workshops while young children explore with our talented and nurturing staff. Together let’s resist the magnetic pull of screens, and instead enliven our family life or homeschool with the wonder of device free play. Ignite adventure, curiosity, and joy in our children and ourselves!

,Bring the whole family! Children ages 3 - 11 can immerse themselves in nature play and exploration with our experienced and nurturing staff while parents and children age 12 and up enjoy hands on workshops and discussions. Enjoy activities for adults and children together Friday evening and Saturday afternoon such as nature crafts, archery, string games, family yoga, Garden or Lakeside Sensory walks, yard games, and Imaginative Play. Enjoy stories and singing around the campfire Friday evening with a Shadow Puppet Show to end the evening. Bring an instrument if you wish!
Leave the screens behind while you re-connect with yourself and your family in nature. Use this time to reset your intentions for family life and bring back tips and tools to help you slow down and find a healthy daily, weekly, and seasonal rhythm for your family in our fast paced world.
Camp in local campgrounds or stay in lodging of your choice in the Bemidji area.
This is a secular family friendly retreat. All are welcome at Apple Blossom.
No drugs or alcohol
Apple Blossom is a screen free zone for kids and tweens/teens.
